Cross-Country Championships

It is with great regret that I have to inform the County that the Cross-Country Championships cannot take place in 2021.

I have had news from the site owners that our event is deemed too large to go ahead safely, even with the changes that I had proposed under the current England Athletics Guidance. Winchester City Council has been consulted and has advised Fairthorne Manor that no large-scale events can take place there until at least Easter 2021.

I am sorry to disappoint all athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers, but the safety of all of you is my first priority. I have every hope that we will be able to hold the Championships in 2022.
